Hello and welcome to the first edition of the Holly Moose Lodge “President’s Post”.
As we roll into the summer months, I want to start off by THANKING EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU. Our membership in Holly is over 1,200 members and growing! While 2020 gave us a wild roller coaster ride, we have managed to survive the multitude of restrictions and changes with the help of all of your support. The 2021 fiscal year (May 1st, 2021 to April 30th, 2022) is off and running with MANY exciting changes.
First and foremost, as of May 1st, we are ONE MOOSE! The General Laws have been reissued and titled as The Moose. I encourage you to take a few minutes and check them out at https://www.mooseintl.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/May-2021-General-Laws.pdf
A new website has been created for the Holly Moose Lodge www.hollymooselodge.com . Watch for updates as we will continue to communicate through this platform along with our Facebook page.
The 2021-2022 Board of Officers remained the same as the previous year although some of the Committee Chairs have changed. Please welcome the following Committee Chairpersons; Michele Wharton to the Membership Chair, Brenda Sepanak is now the Activities Chair, Rick Powers to the Government Relations Chair and Chris Compton to the Legion Chair. We look forward to all of their contributions as they assist in the growth of our lodge.
The COVID Restrictions have been lifted for all of Michigan. Trivia, live music, pool, euchre, karaoke are all back in full swing. Blues Brews & BBQ and Holly Days are a go as well. The Holly Moose Lodge Annual Picnic will be held on Sunday, July 25th at Lakeside Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend this fun filled day!
